Interior and exterior painting

Painting in Lexington and Columbia is a trade we keep, not a referral. The photograph is a kitchen and living room we painted after a remodel — new trim and ceilings, our picture. Prep is the work: what gets caulked, what gets replaced, what gets covered, and what gets painted. That prep is why the scope is a written estimate after we see the rooms. We are based in Pelion.

What the work includes

Inside, we paint walls, ceilings, and trim. Outside, we paint siding and eaves. Color consultations are part of the conversation, whether the job is only paint or the last trade through a kitchen, a bath, or new siding. The rooms, the colors, and the price are on the estimate. Signs you need paint, and signs you need more

Chalking paint, a color you are ready to change, and trim that needs caulk are painting. Peeling that keeps coming back on a shaded eave, mildew on the north wall, or a stain that returns after you cover it often means the water problem comes first. We will say so. Covering a leak with paint is not the job.

What to expect

We come to the house, walk the rooms or the outside, and write the scope before we start. Interior paint can follow a remodel we built, or it can be the only trade on the visit. Exterior paint waits on dry weather. We answer within one business day, Monday through Saturday, 7 to 5. The estimate is free, and it is the price you can hold us to.

Humidity and summer storms

Exterior paint in the Midlands has to wait on the weather. Summer humidity and afternoon thunderstorms decide the days a wall will take paint and keep it. Shaded eaves under pines stay damp longer than a south wall in full sun. That is a scheduling fact, not a brand of paint. The visit is where we say which surfaces are ready and which ones need repair first.
